The Allotment Club was set up by Sir Robert Woodard Academy to renovate a neglated garden area which included a shed and polytunnel, to enable pupils to grow plants and vegetable. The aim was to provide basic training in gardening and horticultical skills. Working in small groups pupils will also learn to work in teams.
Successes of the project so far the project regularly supplies the school canteen with vegetables which are then used in school lunches, along with perspective pupils able to try Borscht.
