Who Are We?

About Us

In December 2012, Sompting was awarded £1 million over 10 years to make a lasting impact on the Sompting community. The first partnership was created in December 2013 to assist in the guidance of how the money was to be spent.

The partnership work together with the community and community groups, schools and other recognised bodies to make Sompting become a better place to Live, Work and Play.

The partnership is made up of 15 elected members, consisting of a leadership team- Chair, Vice-Chair, Secretary, Finance Lead and Communication Lead who are appointed from within the partnership. This Leadership team is elected to serve a 2 year term to maintain continuity. Each year, the longest serving third of the partnership are replaced by new members wishing to offer their services, however outgoing members may offer themselves for re-election.

SBL are always looking for more residents to become volunteers with us, there is no limit to the amount of time or commitment you need to give.

We are always actively seeking ideas and suggestions from members of the Sompting community for ways they believe they can help us improve the community.
